Michigan State University encourages undergraduate students to become involved in undergraduate research as a way of enhancing their learning.  Many opportunities exist for this purpose.

The Undergraduate Research Office coordinates opportunities and placements, provides funding, showcases student projects and connects students with faculty.

The McNair/SROP program is designed especially to provide research opportunities to low income, first generation college students and/or members of groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.  MSU is proud of being one of the top ten McNair/SROP programs in the nation.
