Department of Campus Living Services and Residence Life

A variety of types of graduate assistantships will be available:  Assistant Hall Director, Night Receptionist Coordinator, and Assistant Community Director in University Apartments.  Application is online and priority consideration given to materials submitted by January 5, 2012.  Previous residence life experience is preferred; all assistantships are live-in, and include housing as part of the remuneration.  Additional information is available at www.reslife.msu.edu.

Department of Student Life

Student Life may have positions working with student government advising, student leadership, new student orientation, and judicial affairs.  Candidates should submit a resume and cover letter addressing specific areas of interest to:  Trace Camacho, Assistant Director of Student Life.  Preference will be given to materials submitted by February 17, 2012, however applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.

LBGT Resource Center

One half-time GA position is available for 2012-2013.  Send cover letter, resume and references to Claire Gonyo, preferably by February 6, 2012.

Educational and Support Services

One GA position working with university-community initiatives is funded through Educational and Support Services.  Applications for this position for 2012-2013 are now closed.

Career Services Network

Career Services may have up to 3 positions working with students on career exploration issues, internship and job search strategies, resume building and interviewing skills.  Presentation opportunities on a variety of career development topics and interactions with other career services, recruiting, and academic professionals are a vibrant part of the assistantships.

Center for Service-Learning and Civic Engagement

Service Learning may have one position to help coordinate civic engagement in the larger community.

Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities

The RCPD offers a shared graduate assistantship in partnership with the MSU Psychological Clinic. The opportunity is available to doctoral-level graduate students in clinical psychology in support of the RCPD learning disabilities assessment program.  Clinical Psychology students should contact Dan Greenberg at the clinic for details, 517.355.9464.
