GA Opportunities for the coming year (2010-2011)
Department of Residence Life
Residence Life employs 48 Assistant Hall Directors who are GAs from a variety of degree programs. These positions are available annually with a start date of early August. Preference is given to those who apply by November 30. Additional information is available at: http://www.reslife.msu.edu/work/
Department of Student Life
Student Life may have positions working with student government advising, student leadership, new student orientation, and judicial affairs. The Student Life Graduate Student Opportunities brochure is available here in pdf form.
Migrant Student Services
The Office of Migrant Programs has several positions working with first-generation migrant students and a high school equivalency program. Applicants must have an appreciation for Latino culture and speak Spanish.
LBGT Resource Center
One GA position is funded in the LBGT Resource Center. That position will be available for the 2010-2011 academic year; application deadine is February 4, 2010. Additional information can be found at: http://www.lbgtrc.msu.edu/grad08.htm
Educational and Support Services
One GA position working with university-community initiatives is funded through ESS. This GA serves as the Community Relations Coalition (CRC) Intern Coordinator. A second hourly position, serves as the administrative coordinator for the CRC. Both positions will be avaialble for 2010-2011.
Career Services Network
Career Services may have up to 4 positions working with career development, student outreach, and career and job fairs.
Center for Service-Learning and Civic Engagement
Service Learning may have one position to help coordinate civic engagement in the larger community.
Office of Cultural and Academic Transitions

Counseling Center
This unit will not have GA positions for the coming year.

Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities
The RCPD offers a shared graduate assistantship in partnership with the MSU Psychological Clinic. The opportunity is available to doctoral-level graduate students in clinical psychology in support of the RCPD learning disabilities assessment program.
